The Laboratory Information System (LIS) streamlines the sample collection process by assigning a unique barcode to each sample, eliminating errors or the possibility of sample mix-up. Once the barcode is affixed to the sample, it is automatically integrated into the LIS. This system allows doctors to access test results online, no matter where they are.
Kasih Ibu Hospital introduced its Tumour Marker service in January 2018. This supporting test is used for identifying tumour cases in patients, differentiating between benign and malignant conditions, monitoring the progress of diagnosed cancer patients, assessing the effectiveness of treatments, and aiding in prognosis following diagnosis and treatment.
